On a mission to make and grow disciples

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care is about people and their needs and at Harper we want to provide effective pastoral care that focuses not only on sickness and health but also on sin and salvation.

Our desire in providing pastoral care is for those under our care to know the Lord Jesus Christ better; develop in their spiritual life; be discipled, helped to live for Christ; be assisted in times of spiritual challenge; and be cared for where practical need arises. Our task is basically to help people throughout this life to get ready for eternity

We currently have three pastoral care teams, each made up of elders, deacons and pastoral carers who are responsible for leading pastoral care across the church fellowship. In practical terms this means investing in people in three ways:
  • Spiritually
  • Socially
  • Practically
This is a proactive approach to pastoral care that tries to model and inspire the whole church family to be looking after one another. If you would like to know more about pastoral care at Harper, then please contact our pastor.
